What an incredible few days at the Asia Pacific Glaucoma Congress (APGC) 2026! 👁️✨
It was an absolute honor to be part of an 80-plus strong Philippine delegation. Seeing so many of us waving the flag for our local ophthalmology community was truly a proud moment. 🇵🇭
As a young glaucoma specialist, there was a great deal to learn from the region’s top experts. I’m heading home with fresh perspectives, updated clinical pearls, and a renewed passion for preserving our patients’ vision.
But beyond the science and the sessions, my heart is full from the personal connections. It was amazing reuniting with the mentors who helped shape my career, my everyday colleagues, my fraternity brothers, and even the oldest of friends from my elementary and high school days. It’s funny how life and medicine bring us all full circle! 🍻🤝
All of this catching up and learning took place in the backdrop of beautiful, efficient Singapore. 🇸🇬🏙️
